Glossier Haul & First Impressions

October brought Glossier to the UK - yaaaasssss!
Like most people, I heard of Glossier through other bloggers - The Anna Edit and Lily Pebbles always spring to mind when I think of Glossier. Pronounced Glossy-air, this has always been a brand that I wanted to try, but haven't been able to as they didn't ship to the UK, until now. On the day of release, I placed my order and waited a lonngggg time for shipping - the demand was seriously high. Now I've got my hands on them, I wanted to share with you the bits that I bought and my first impressions on these products. I would love for you to give me advice on any products that I need to try.

Cloud Paint - Beam & Dusk

Cloud Paint - Beam & Dusk
I purposely got these two shades as I had heard they could be used on their own, but also combined to make a really lovely shade.  On their own, they give a really lovely wash of colour - not too pigmented, but still a decent level of colour. They are really easy to apply to your cheeks with your fingers, to give a really natural looking cheek colour. When applied together they are even better - such a beautiful shade. I have also seen other bloggers using them as an eye colour, so I will definitely be trying this too.

Boy Brow

This product is probably one of Glossier's most hyped products - so naturally, I had to try it out for myself. When first opening the product, I was quite surprised how small it was - I've also seen quite a few other people say that too. The colour pay off from this product is really good, it really makes your brows look fuller. My brows can be a bit sparse in places, so I still need to fill them in a little bit. But this is a really good, thickening gel to set my brows into place. I got the shade brown and this was a perfect colour match for me.

Coconut Balm Dotcom

Coconut Balm Dotcom
This is also a very in-demand product from Glossier. It's a multipurpose balm which comes in quite a few different types - ranging from glitter balms to ones with a colour tint. I opted for the coconut balm, I'm not sure why as I don't normally like coconut scented products - but this isn't all that bad. Since receiving it, I have mainly been using this as a lip balm, but I know that it has so many other uses, for example on any dry skin or your cuticles. The consistency of this product is like no other that I have tried. It's very thick and hard when it comes out of the tube, but appears to melt down and soften up as soon as it is worked into the lips. It leaves more of a matte finish to the lips compared to other lip balms, which I totally prefer compared to really shiny lips. I definitely want to try some the other versions of this product.

Stretch Concealer

From learning more about Glossier, it seems that their main focus in skincare and using makeup products to enhance beauty from within. So, if you're a high coverage lover, this probably isn't the brand for you. Saying that, I have found the coverage from this concealer is pretty great. Again, it's a really easy product to apply straight from the pot with your fingers. I really love the seemingly no-fuss ethos from this brand. I have had some issues with the concealer creasing, but that could be due to me not setting the product with powder properly. I got the shade light, so it gives a really nice, brightening effect under the eyes.

Haloscope Highlighter
I love me a bit of highlight. I am used to a powder highlighter, so this was my first shot at a cream alternative. I opted for the shade quartz, as this was the one that I had heard most people talking about. This product has the highlighter shade around the outside with a moisturising stick in the core - this makes it really easy to glide onto the skin and leaves the skin with a really natural highlight. It isn't glow you'll see from space, but I dont think it is meant to be. Glossier is all about the natural beauty. When applying, I just sweep the stick onto the high points of the face and then gently blend in with my fingers, to leave a natural looking glow.
