Natural Haircare Routine

Over the last few years, there has been more and more emphasis put on natural products. It was never something I really cared about until I actually started to think about all the nasty ingredients that can be in some skincare and haircare products.

I had the opportunity to meet the people from Natural World at the BlogConLDN event. They pride themselves on making products with naturally derived ingredients from around the world. Their products are made with 95% natural ingredients. Their products are free from parabens, phosphates, phthalates, dyes and gluten - all things that really aren't great for your body or the environment.
The team from Natural World were kind enough to send me their Chia Seed range to try out. I was so intrigued by this range - chia seeds seem to be all the range for your cooking, but for your hair?! I had to try it out for myself. Apparently, chia seeds are great for adding strength and volume to hair, whilst also leaving it looking shiny and feeling soft.
If you've you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll know about my quest for voluminous hair. This makes me a sucker for anything that promises to give my hair volume and shine - hence my interest in this product.
I have been using these products for the last 6 weeks, using the shampoo and conditioner then applying the oil to towel dried hair. When using the shampoo, I noticed that I needed to use a lot more of the product than I normally would to get a good lather. I guessed this was probably to do with the product being natural and there being nothing artificial to create the lather - so I'll take that.
The products have four essential oils - rosemary, lemongrass, orange, and ylang-ylang -  which leaves your hair smelling really great. For the best results, I found using all three products together was the best. The shampoo and conditioner on their own could leave the ends of my hair feeling slightly dry, but this was completely gone when I used the oil.
In terms of the volume, my hair was left feeling really light and voluminous - not weighed down like some products can. If you're looking to make a shift to more natural products, whilst skill looking for volume and shine, I would really recommend this range.
What are your favourite natural beauty products?
Love, Kate xx
