Real Techniques MultiTech Collection

Anyone who knows me will know that I have a slight obsession with makeup brushes. I know that I have a problem, but I just can't stop myself when I see a new range of brushes - especially Real Techniques ones. Sam and Nic are going to bankrupt me one day if they don't stop releasing new makeup brushes (I'm totally joking ladies - please never, ever stop). So, when I saw the lovely MegSays do a review on these, I had to get my hands on them.
I headed to Superdrug to purchase these, I believe this range is exclusive to Superdrug. When I got them, there was a 'third off' offer on which made me feel so much better about buying them! I don't think this offer is still on, but Superdrug currently has a '3 for 2' offer on where brushes are included.
I purchased one of the Large Point brushes, this style comes in L and XL. As you may have guessed, this size signifies the size of the brush head. I really love this for contouring. The brush has a tapered edge which sits really nicely under the cheekbone to contour. I have found this brush is also perfect for sweeping bronzer all over the face, or to be used with blush. It really is a versatile sized brush. For me personally, I wouldn't use it for powder, I prefer a bigger brush head for that. But, that doesn't mean to say it wouldn't work.
I also got my hands on the Small Point Makeup Brush Set. Eye makeup brushes are where I am really lacking in my collection. Face brushes, loads of them. But brushes for my eyes are always something I seem to forget about. Normally, I will avoid brush sets. You always seem to be left with a couple of brushes you don't use, which seems like a waste of money to me. But with this set, I could really see a use for them all.
I love the point S brush for sweeping a base colour all over my lid. It's a lovely, soft brush that also works really well as a blending brush. The point XS is perfect for the crease. I love to put Hoola bronzer in my crease for a really simple eye look, this brush is perfect for that. The point XXS brush is perfect for adding colour to the lower lash line - this is something I always forget to do, but it really brings together an eye look. Finally, the point XXXS would be perfect for brows or liner. Also, it would also work really well as a lip brush as it has a fine, tapered head. The cutest thing about this brush set is that comes with a metal holder, I love that attention to detail.
What are some of your brush must haves? I'd love to know, anything to feed my brush habit some more!
Love, Kate xx

  1. I saw these and thought about getting them - but I'm not actually much of a brush user! I use eyeshadow brushes, one for my brows and one for highlighter/bronzer. I love Real Techniques, the quality is just great for the price. Love the photos btw, so bright and clean!

  2. I like how these brushes are broad at the bottom but have a pointed top. Like you said it looks perfect for contouring. The eye brushes seem kinda nice too.
