February Favourites

I know I say this every month, but February has flow by. I cannot believe it is March - its going to be Christmas again before we know it. This month has been a month for beauty faves. I always seem to run out of a lot of products at the same time - so February was about me broadening my horizons and trying something new.

L'Oreal Micellar Water
I have always been a fan of the Garnier Micellar water, but when I saw this one on offer, I thought I would give it a go. Stupidly, I picked up the bottle for dry skin, but actually I don't really think this has affected my skin. I will say, I prefer this now to the Garnier alternative. I don't get the sticky residue feeling on my skin with the L'Oreal one. I love how easy it is to take off my make up with this when I am feeling lazy.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Exfoliator
During the last month, I have been really struggling with dry patches of skin on my face. It has been so frustrating and was starting to get me down. It felt like nothing was working. I had ran out of my normal microdermabraison exfoliator, so I saw this product and thought I would give it a go. I reached for this as I knew it would be better for my skin to gently exfoliate it a few times a week to try and combat the dry patches. I love how this product doesn't leave my face feeling tight and dry like most exfoliants. I wouldn't say it has fully helped my skin, but it has definitely made a difference.

Rimmel Insta Fix & Go Setting Spray
I'm going to say this, I'm not even sure if or how setting sprays work. But I am so caught up in them I don't want to stop using them just incase my makeup just slides right off my face. I was using the L'Oreal Infallible setting spray before, it was awful and left white spots on my face if I forgot to shake the bottle before use - nobody has time for that! So, I was glad to see that back of that product and try something new. I have really been loving this Rimmel setting spray. I comes out of the bottle as a really fine mist. It doesn't affect the makeup, it just sits on the top like a protective barrier. I love how refreshing this is for the skin too.

Rimmel ScandalEyes Reloaded 
My go to mascara is the Benefit They're Real mascara, but I couldn't get to a Benefit to replace it. So, again, putting myself out of my comfort zone, I went for something new. I have been really impressed with this product. I has a really nice lengthening and volumising effect on the lashes. The only downside is the brush is slightly bigger than I am used to - so there is some practice needed to stop putting mascara on my eye lids!!

Burts Bees Tinted Lip Balm  - Hibiscus
I think this has to be my favourite, favourite of this month. I first saw this in one of Niomi Smart's YouTube videos, but I never got round to buying one. Then, I saw them in M&S. Side note, M&S is fast becoming one of my favourite places for beauty shopping. I have always loved the Burts Bees lip balms, but these tinted ones take them to a new level. I have been putting this on my lips most mornings before work. I feel it makes me look more put together, but I don't need to worry about reapplying my lipstick or wondering if it's on my teeth or smudging on my face. I went for the shade Hibiscus, which is a lovely red shade, but I'll definitely be back for more.
