Blogmas: Winter Skincare Favourites

I don't know about you, but my skin freaks out during the winter months. It's like it can't cope with the change in weather and central heating. I generally have oily skin, but recently I have been experiencing dry patches, which is so irritating. I wanted to share with you some of my winter skin survival favourites, hopefully, they may help you too.
What I like the most about this cleanser is its efficiency. You swipe the product all over your face with a cotton pad and you are done, no rinsing required. I really like to use this for my morning cleanse as it is so quick and easy. I find it leaves my skin feeling so soft and nourished. Neutrogena isn't normally a brand I reach for, but I have been really impressed with this product.

I have been applying this product every other night before I go to bed. When I wake up, my skin feels nourished and hydrated. I can't comment on the 'youthful' effects of the product, as I am only 25...but I guess it is never too early to start preventing aging. The only downside to his product is that it leaves my skin feeling a bit sticky, but I can deal with that for the nourishing effects it gives me.

I first tried this when I was at my Mum and Dad's house, my Mum said she bought it because they didn't have the product she normally uses. I did have a little laugh as she doesn't read any labels - so she was using the product without shaking it first! This is one of those dual liquid products, which you shake to activate and combine the products. Over recent months, I have been taking more care around my eye area and trying to rub my eyes as little as possible. This product makes it so effortless to remove eye makeup with next to no rubbing. It also claims to help protect your eyelashes which is good, my eyelashes always seem to fall out when I am removing makeup.

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you'll know this is a staple beauty product of mine. I particularly love this product in winter as it is really gentle on my skin, whilst being really efficient at removing makeup. This product is great for using all over the face, including the eye area. I keep this pot in my shower, so it's really easy for me to have a really good cleanse of my face whilst I shower.

Neals Yard Rehydrating Rose Facil Oil, £20
This is another old favourite of mine. I have been finding it a godsend for the dry patches on my skin. I put this on before bed, on the nights I am not wearing the sleeping mask. I love to wear it before bed as it gives it a good chance to sink into my skin. I know some people love to wear this under makeup, but it doesn't really work for me. Plus, the scent is really calming - perfect to help you drift off to sleep.

What are you winter skin saviours? Let me know in the comments below.
Love, Kate xx
