Blogtember: August Favourites

Well that's it, summer is over again. Onto scarves, boots and snuggly jumpers... so excited! As much as I love the summer months with the light nights, I do love autumn. This month, I was lucky enough to win a very large prize from The Body Shop, so that is why you will see they are heavily featured in this months favourites - I had so many amazing products to choose from. So without further ado...
I have been a big fan of Tanya for a long time now, so when I heard she had a baking book out, I had to purchase it. Throughout August, I have found myself baking my way through this book. Lets say my work colleagues have been very happy with me, my waistline, not so much. The recipes are delicious, but not too complicated for a pretty average baker like me.

I have been loving the foundation version of this product for my everyday make up. For me, this product steps things up another level. I have been loving contouring with this product. I apply it with a brush to my cheekbones and then blend it in with a beauty sponge. It leaves a really natural glow to my cheekbones. I have been pairing this product with hoola bronzer to set things in place.

You might have guessed, but this isn't a recent purchase of mine. It's more like a product I have re-discovered in the last month. I have totally converted back to curling my hair with this wand. Towards the end of July, I curled my hair with this for a wedding I was going to (hair tutorial here) and I haven't used anything else since. I love how this wand makes my curls say in place like no other product can. My GHD curlers must be feeling rejected!

The Body Shop body butters have been a firm favourite of mine since I was a kid. But for some reason, I probably haven't purchased one in the last year. That was until this one was given to me as part of my prize. I am totally back, head over heels, in love with them. The smell is incredible, it is so nourishing and it sinks into the skin really quickly - what more could you want!

To say I am obsessed with this product would be an understatement. Last month it was Martha Moo, this month it has been all about this. It has been the only thing on my lips this month. It's got a really buttery consistency and the shade is a perfect browny-nude. Also, it costs £3....yes!!! Three whole pounds for this incredible product. I'll race you to the shops to buy it.

Until this month, I had never tried a oil cleanser. I have used oil based ones, but none where the product is completely oil. I have really liked using this product. It's as if it is melting away my make up. It leaves my skin feeling really refreshed and nourished. I would really recommend this.

Following the cleanser, I have been putting this onto my skin every night. I might only be 25 but, in my book, it is never too early to start with anti-wrinkle products. Since using this product every night, I have noticed my skin is much more nourished and like its got more of a glow. The product says it leaves your skin looking bouncier and feeling replenished, I would definitely say it does this.

What have been your favourite products this month?
Love, Kate xx
